Arcade Tekken 7 Fated Retribution Round 2 Officially Announced

This arcade update for Tekken 7 FR was previously covered but has now been officially announced during the MASTERCUP.10 event. There's a new teaser site and promotional video out there for it but the main points behind this update is bringing all the Season 1 & 2 content from the home versions of Tekken 7 over to the arcades in Japan. Like the previous arcade listing for the update, the Round 2 update is currently scheduled for February of 2019. In other news, Tekken 7 celebrates 3 million sales with some new artwork from the stream. In total, the Tekken franchise has now surpassed over 47 million units sold worldwide across all the games in the series.

Arcade "Tekken 7 Fated Retribution Round 2" Slated for February 2019

Update: Rumors of this upcoming arcade update has seemingly surfaced on the Japanese TekkenBBS site. I can't personally verify it's authenticity but for the sake of coverage, I've added and translated it down below.

Round 2 of Tekken 7 Fated Retribution is scheduled to release early next year, as details for a new arcade version of the game surface online. The full official title is "TEKKEN7 FATED RETRIBUTION ROUND 2" and it could potentially see the release of Season 2 content from the home versions of Tekken 7 carried over to Japanese arcades. This would maybe include the 5 characters included in Tekken 7's Season Pass 2 featuring Anna Williams, Lei Wulong and 3 other characters incorporated into a new version. There's not much else detailed about the release of this new arcade cabinet beyond that orders for arcade operators end on October 31st. Location testing details for the new arcade version of Tekken 7 should come in the near future, perhaps an announcement at the upcoming Mastercup.10?

Popular Twitch Streamer Forsen Reaches Yellow Ranks Online in First Week of Playing Tekken 7

Tekken 7 has seen a recent surge of popularity within the past week after popular Twitch streamers started picking up and streaming the game. Forsen, Imaqtpie, Sodapoppin, Dyrus and Moonmoon were among the recent greenhorns dipping into the online Ranked Mode while probably showing off Tekken 7 to a much wider audience. Forsen in particular was probably the most note-worthy in that group for sticking to the game and even climbing a fairly decent way in the ranks. Sure, Tekken 7 Season 2 did make ranking up much more easier and faster but, climbing all the way to Juggernaut within a week of picking up the game is a lot more than other people who've been playing for months and stuck in greens could possibly say. If anything, Forsen's playthrough makes an interesting watch of someone completely brand new get into playing Tekken. Brazilian New Master III Tournament Taking Place October 13 with English Commentary

Getting the word out on the third instalment of the "New Master" set to take place in the city of São Paulo in Brazil on October 13th. The New Master tournaments are fairly new but usually feature some of the best Tekken talent to watch for the South American region. For this occasion, they're planning on stepping up and enlisting an English commentary team for the stream to help guide the whole world into the Brazilian Tekken scene. There's prize money on the line and maybe news on possible international guests so stay tuned to the New Master social pages for more info on the tournament. You can expect to watch the entire tournament live on Twitch as it happens on October 13th.

Tekken 7 Version 2.01 Update Fixes Unintended Balancing Issues in Season 2

Update: full notes on the changes made in Version 2.01 have now been added.

Word is out that Tekken 7 on PS4 are now downloading a '2.01' update for the game. The patch notes doesn't say much for it in the update history section but we can probably tell it's for fixing all the balancing errors like Lars' f+2,1 ~ SE 1 being a natural combo and Katarina's ff+2,4 jailing on block. The patch should be out soon for PC players on Steam and Xbox One if it hasn't already been pushed out to everyone so keep an eye out. More details on the update when we get it.
