Large-scale update for Arcade Tekken 7 Fated Retribution Round 2 launches June 23

Season 3 content of Tekken 7 is making its way to the arcades on June 23, according to the latest notice on the official Tekken news page. The 'large-scale' update includes 4 new playable characters, a new stage addition and a list of balance adjustments which will presumably catch the arcades up with the console/PC release of Tekken 7. The guest character Negan from Season 2 is missing from this announcement so it looks like he still won't be making his way over anytime soon. T7FR Round 2 is currently operating in Japan with restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic in public places slowly easing so more people will have the opportunity to safely come out from lockdown and play Tekken again in the arcades eventually. Of course when that time comes, do practice your due diligence in protecting yourself from the virus. Namco Sugamo in particular have installed distancing screens on arcade cabinets as a cautionery measure. Arcade Tekken 7 Fated Retribution to end network services March 26, 2020

After three years of operation in the arcade sector, Bandai Namco is pulling the plug on T7FR's network service early next year. Arcades that operate cabinets of the game but did not buy the Round 2 USB upgrade are to be taken offline disabling the use of Banapassport cards and certain online game functionality. The game will still be playable offline but features like player and ranking data, character customization and online match-making will no longer be available come March 26, 2020. The Round 2 version of the game on the other hand, is set to receive a big content update in Spring of 2020. Large scale update to Arcade Tekken 7 Fated Retribution Round 2 announced for Spring 2020

A quick notice appeared on the Tekken Official website announcing that the arcade version of Tekken 7 will be getting a large-scale update in Spring of 2020. Judging from the details and the image, it looks like the content featured in Season Pass 3, including the 4 characters, will make it's way back from the console/PC version into the arcades when the update eventually rolls around. No further details given at the moment but expect to hear more as we get closer to the release period.

Tekken 7's season 3 Winter update includes new features to improve the learning experience

Alongside the premium content coming to Tekken 7 Season Pass 3, the game will also be receiving a free update come this Winter. The Practice Mode is set to receive the new 'Punishment Training' and 'Sample Combo' modes that are designed to help newer players delve a little deeper into the fighting gameplay. Punishment Training has toggles that allow you to set the opponent to do a preset amount of moves and gives you a HUD to help you learn the punishment timings of the incoming attacks. Sample Combos is a straight-forward mini movelist of combos that you can use as a reference if you're learning how to use a character. The Replay Mode is also coming, and it blends the new features of the Punishment Training allowing for an even enhanced learning experience when you decide to watch your previous matches. Lastly, a free new customization addition in the form of an April Fools joke. Look forward to all these new features alongside the new character Leroy Smith coming later this year.
