Katsuhiro Harada & Michael Murray Interview at Final Round 19

Final Round 19 took place last month and it was the first available play-test for the upcoming Fated Retribution expansion to Tekken 7. It was also announced at the event that Bandai Namco Entertainment America is organizing a Tekken Tour that will see the game being available to play at multiple tournaments throughout the year in the North America region featuring cash prizes. (Note: full details for the Tekken tour have yet to appear.) With that, all the Tekken 7 action throughout all participating tournaments have been organized and archived into the official BNEA's Fight Channel. The latest upload from the channel includes a video interview with Tekken project lead Katsuhiro Harada and Michael Murray from Final Round 19 as they both share their thoughts and hints on what's to come regarding the title. Give it a watch and if you're interested, you can catch up on past Tekken Tour / Wizard World event archives up on the channel.

Jump Festa 2016 was a mainly Anime/Manga event that went down in Japan this past weekend but Bandai Namco Entertainment was present to announce a whole slew of games. There's piecemeal bits of information on Tekken 7 & Tekken X Street Fighter revealed accross numerous sites so this post will be rounding it all up.

Michael Murray Shares Further Insight on King Of Iron Fist Tournament Qualifiers

--------

These comments were recently posted on our previous US qualifier post for KOIFT 2015 and while it's nice of him to take the time to do this, I feel that this might not be seen since they're stashed away in the comment section. It offers some insights as well as details some future plans so it's well worth knowing. The last comment was posted on the Shoryuken article here. Keep an eye out on the official Tekken Facebook page for news in the future:

EVO 2015 - Bandai Namco Panel ft. Harada & Murray

Thanks goes to the official EVO Youtube channel for the speedy upload, the video for the Bandai Namco Panel at EVO 2015 is now available for viewing. In it, Aris is joined by Harada, Murray and Markman as they delve deep into several topics about Tekken 7 and answer questions about the title and the scene surrounding it. The video spans about an hour so it's almost about the length of an average ATP Live episode. There's plenty of good information to take from this so it's well worth watching in it's entirety. You can catch it all below:

Tekken 7 - Bandai Namco Entertainment Fighting Game Panel 2015

UPDATE: Added further panel images from Famitsu! Includes more character artwork from Tekken 7 including a live art demonstration by Jbstyle.

Just to get this out of the way - there wasn't much substantial news in terms of Tekken 7 revealed at San Diego Comic-Con. What was shown however is something you might appreciate should you be a fan of the artwork that comes from special guest artist collaborations with the Tekken series. The Bandai Namco Fighting game panel at San Diego Comic-Con has Tekken Project team figures like Harada and Michael Murray on it but this time there's also guest artist jbstyle participating who you may know as the artist who designed the Devil Asuka and Lili / Eliza T-shirts given out to players at EVO 2014 & 2015. Artwork of the Tekken 7 characters done by Jbstyle, Shunya Yamashita, Tomio Fujisawa and Junny were shown off so I'm assuming this is hinting at the return of the character artwork switching in Tekken 7 that was available in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. All the images from this year's panel are courtesy of @cool_trainer.
