MASTERCUP EVO 2015 Interview with Japan's ORZ Yuu & Nobi

Japan's most famous Tekken playing duo Yuu & Nobi recently got picked up by the Otaku React Zest group which is a company that is set out to spread the otaku 'Akiba culture' which may have a negative connotation depending on who you ask. Their recent efforts have them sponsoring top Tekken players to EVO which is what's making this a frightfully difficult tournament to come up top now with the increase in well regarded foreign players. MASTERCUP sat down with both Yuu & Nobi to ask what they feel and think traveling across the world and competing in such an event, as well as general past experiences and who they're watching out for. Tekken 7 - Bandai Namco Entertainment Fighting Game Panel 2015

UPDATE: Added further panel images from Famitsu! Includes more character artwork from Tekken 7 including a live art demonstration by Jbstyle.

Just to get this out of the way - there wasn't much substantial news in terms of Tekken 7 revealed at San Diego Comic-Con. What was shown however is something you might appreciate should you be a fan of the artwork that comes from special guest artist collaborations with the Tekken series. The Bandai Namco Fighting game panel at San Diego Comic-Con has Tekken Project team figures like Harada and Michael Murray on it but this time there's also guest artist jbstyle participating who you may know as the artist who designed the Devil Asuka and Lili / Eliza T-shirts given out to players at EVO 2014 & 2015. Artwork of the Tekken 7 characters done by Jbstyle, Shunya Yamashita, Tomio Fujisawa and Junny were shown off so I'm assuming this is hinting at the return of the character artwork switching in Tekken 7 that was available in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. EVO 2015 - Schedule and Tekken 7 Pools Now Available

The pool scheduling as well as player brackets for Evo 2015 which is happening on July 17 - 19 are now out for viewing. Tekken 7 pools will be played out on both Friday & Saturday which unforunately leaves out the previous plan which was to have Friday as a practice day. Nonetheless, pools start at 8:00 am local time so be sure to get there early to participate. Now that the Tekken 7 brackets are also out, you can see the vast number of international Japanese competitors in it to win the tournament so the competition will of course be really fierce at this year's Evo. Don't forget however that there's also the TTT2 side tournament being organised at the BYOC area at Evo so there's more Tekken to play beside the official Tekken 7 tournament. Tekken 7 - Twitch Tekken Crash Preliminary Qualifier Archive

The preliminary qualifier event for Twitch's TEKKEN CRASH was recently carried out live on Twitch and the archives + playlist for the footage are now available for viewing on SPOTV's YouTube channel. Twitch's Tekken Crash will be starting to broadcast this season of Tekken Crash every Sunday at 7:00 PM Korean time starting on the 19th of July and finishing up on the 6th of September so be sure to follow the twitch channels to get notified of when the next episode of Tekken Crash goes live. English commentary was done by Laugh.

Tekken 7 Arcade Location Tests Coming to Round 1 & Dave & Busters this Month

Michael Murray just put up the news regarding the US Arcade Location tests for Tekken 7 on the official Tekken FaceBook page. Tekken 7 is coming to select Round 1 arcades and several Dave & Busters this month allowing people the chance to get time in with the game. The locations of these select places are as follows:
