Kayane's Interview with Motohiro Okubo from EVO 2018

A new interview with Soul Calibur 6's producer Motohiro Okubo from this past Evo has now gone live thanks to Kayane. A lot of interesting and direct questions regarding the game's features and potential future plans like having a demo or beta, patches after launch, frame data in training mode and even on the potential of World Tour being asked in here. This interview serves as the latest development update for Soul Calibur 6 leading up to Gamescom later this month on Aug 21 - 25. You can check out the full interview over on Kayane's YouTube channel.

Kayane's Interview with Soul Calibur 6 Producer Motohiro Okubo from EVO Japan

The EVO Japan interview Kayane conducted with the Soul Calibur 6 producer Motohiro Okubo has now gone live over on Kayane's website. It makes for a pretty lengthy and interesting look as to where Soul Calibur 6 is at in this time in terms of development. There's also plenty of Kayane gushing over the new Soul Calibur game so she got to ask a lot about characters in the roster, ideas for guest characters, gameplay modes and a lot more. I'll be adding some snippets from the interview below but you can read the entire piece over on Kayane's website:

Interviews with Harada on Tutorial Mode, Tekken 7 Development and the Future

New interviews with the Tekken head producer Katsuhiro Harada surfaced recently on some gaming sites. The PushSquare & PC Games N's interviews with Harada go over some pretty interesting topics like the current development circumstances for Tekken 7 as well as some minor insights on what they're thinking of for the future of the series. The PGN interview mainly goes over the decision to not include a tutorial into the game but the PushSquare features a more extensive discussion. I'll be adding notable snippets from both below but feel free to read the source interviews in full over on their respective sites:

The Making Of Tekken with Yutaka Kounoe

Awhile back, I managed to get my hands on a transcription of the 'Making of Tekken' Interview in the #104 issue of Retro Gamer Magazine with Yutaka Kounoe but for some reason or another I eventually ended up forgetting to share it with everyone. There's a lot of development background information that is especially interesting for anyone that is curious on the development of the early Tekken games so I feel like this is great to put out there. This interview goes in depth with a game developer who did work on the first 3 Tekken games while he was working in what he considered to be 'Namco's golden era.' Yutaka Kounoe currently no longer works at Namco and has since moved on to found his own indie game development company: O-Games. This interview was published around June, 2012 so it's been awhile from now.
