NORCAL STRONGSTYLE ~5 Second Trailer Released!

Holy fuck, I'm going to StrongStyle! I'm still quite shook that the Tekken community has given me the opportunity to participate at the next StrongStyle tournament this year. I'd love to get the chance to meet and play with everyone that helped me out in achieving all this so If you yourself happen to be going to the event, please don't hesitate to come and say hi and get some matches with me as I'm more then welcome to! I'll be joining this tournament's current large league of international competition at the event so I'm looking forward to what is shaping up to be one of the greatest tournaments held for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 yet. If you missed the Second StrongStyle~5 Trailer from the recent ATP LIVE episode, you can find it on the Iplaywinner YouTube channel.

Tekken 2: Kazuya's Revenge Live Action Movie Gets New Trailers and Poster

A few things have changed since we last heard of the new live action Tekken movie. The official title of the film is now 'TEKKEN 2 KAZUYA's REVENGE' and it is set to screen in cinemas on August 21st next month. The previous titles of 'Tekken A Man Called X' and 'Tekken: Revenge Of Kazuya' were seemingly placeholder titles for the project. Besides that, everything else seems pretty much the same. We now have a new movie poster and trailers to show everyone since they've made their way online now and since the film is a prequel to the 2010 live action Tekken movie, it may actually try to distance itself from Tekken's original story. You can see the poster and movie details below. The 'Tekken 2: Kazuya's Revenge' trailers are courtesy of the Manly Movie website.

Bas Gros Poing's Interviews With Harada On The Development Of Tekken X Street Fighter

French Gaming site Bas Gros Poing conducted several interviews with Tekken Project's lead producer Katushiro Harada and Michael Murray back in 2011, 2012 & 2013 on the development of Tekken X Street Fighter. The interviews were in complete French and published on the site but for the sake of sharing this series of interviews, the Bas Gros Poing YouTube channel recently uploaded a compilation of the interviews making it more accessible to everyone. It's a pretty insightful set of interviews and may be of interest to those that like to follow the development of Bandai Namco's upcoming Tekken X Street Fighter game. Worth mentioning however, the interviews are quite old now so the information inside them may be out of date.

TEKKEN 7 - Next Numbered Installment of Tekken Series Announced

Straight from EVO 2014, Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada announces the next numbered installment of the series - Tekken 7. The announcement comes with a small teaser video featuring what is presumably Kazumi Mishima who I believe is Kazuya's mother. Additionally, an earlier leak on AOL.com showed a video with Harada saying that the engine of Tekken 7 will be powered by Unreal Engine 4 which will allow the team to develop the game for several different platforms. Minor speculation on my part but since Tekken 7 will now be using UE4, it's not farfetched to see a PC release of the title in the future. You can watch the announcement video below. More details on Tekken 7 will be coming on July 25th at the San Diego Comic-Con event.

TTT2: Using the Partner Character to Defend Concept by Monga Munga

Here's an interesting concept to see in Tekken Tag tournament 2, the use of your partner character in a TA combo to defend attacks from the opponent. It seems that if you use a move that leaves your partner character out on the field for a long time after a TA, the character will absorb the first attack the opponent does then have the following moves blocked. To help you visualise all this, Monga Munga has uploaded a short video demonstrating this idea on his YouTube channel.
