Tekken 7 Online Status Update for Matchmaking Issues after Version 1.12

After almost a week and a half since the Noctis update to Tekken 7 came out, the Tekken team finally acknowledges the broken online matchmaking from the update. Version 1.12 which was said to bring online adjustments on top of the DLC guest character inclusion had in effect caused waiting times in Tekken 7 to take far longer or worse, resulted in players not being able to find any matches at all. The tip to get around that which was being passed around was to reset the search by turning off the game and killing the game process in task manager before hopping back in again. The status update on these issues mention that they plan to change the online servers settings for Tekken 7 on PS4. They're still investigating issues with the Steam version of the game but also mention that they're planning a patch to hopefully solve these issues. Tekken Bot Prime Updated to Work with the Noctis Update

Rejoice, the frame data program for Tekken 7 on PC finally got updated to work with the latest version of the game. Guest DLC character Noctis came into the game with Version 1.12 on March 19 so this updated version of the program is now up and running. Our hero for this occasion is WAZAAAAA0, who forked the program from roguelike after he and PRoosta went inactive. Tekken 7 Version 1.12 Update Adds Noctis Compatibility & Nvidia ShadowPlay Highlights

Word came in from the official Japanese Tekken 7 website, Update version 1.12 is being rolled out soon that will add compatibility for the newly releasing guest character, Noctis Lucis Caelum. For people that own the character or the season pass, this update is required so that you can later activate the DLC when his unlock goes live. In addition to Noctis though, the overall game and online stability have been adjusted in this version but there isn't that many details about them to go with it. Lastly for players on Steam, the game will be getting Nvidia's Shadowplay Highlights functionality which allows your graphics card to capture certain moments in your gameplay as small clips that can easily be shared online. They work in Ranked, Versus, Player Match and Tournament modes and will highlight moments such as getting Rage Art finishes, super slow motion activations, a 'Great' victory and more. Tekken 7 FR Update Ver.T Adds More Customs & Stages to the Arcades

The arcade version of Tekken 7 Fated Retribution is getting a new update come this April, the Tekken-Official website announces. T7FR Version T07 will be arriving in arcades in Japan and Korea on April 3rd at 7:00 AM and is said to be adding more stages and customizations into the game. Considering the notice of the update is simply brief and not very detailed, I think it's fair to think that this update is adding the remainder of the stages that are in the console version of Tekken 7 but not yet in the arcades. So I'm speculating that maybe stages like the night version of the Helipad, Brimstone and Fire and the Precipice of Fate could perhaps make their way to the arcades. T7FR Update Ver. T is said to include customization additions as well as overall game stability updates so there is that to look forward to if you happen to have access to the arcade game. Tekken 7 Sales Exceed 2.5 Million Units Over this Past Year

[Article Retraction 1/1/18] The original version of this post originally stated that Tekken 7 had exceeded 3 million copies. Upon double checking the source, this has turned out to be incorrect. The actual number of figures sold were mentioned during KawaiiFaceMiles & MainMan's Tekken Talk stream to be over 2.5 million. The thing mentioned in 4Gamer was that Tekken 7 was fast approaching the 3 million mark, not that it already exceeded it. The Japanese gaming site 4Gamer is doing their brief year-end interview with notable figures in the Japanese gaming industry to give us updates and comments to make over the next coming year. Katsuhiro Harada was again one of the people featured and was able to give us a sales update for home versions of Tekken 7. According to him, Tekken 7 saw over 2 million copies sold within the first 2 months after its launch back in June but that figure is now fast approaching the 3 million copies landmark after half a year. He also mentioned that for this time around, Tekken 7 has seen the most post launch support from the series and hopes to be able to continue updating it and giving the title support for the next year. You might see some Japanese on his timeline but he says don't be shy to tweet the suggestions in English too if you happen to have them. His notable game and movie for the year happened to be Super Mario Odyssey (Nintendo Switch) and Atomic Blonde (2017) by the way.
