Tekken 7 sales exceed 4 million copies

Tekken 7 launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam back in June of 2017 and as of March 2019, Bandai Namco is proud to announce that the title has gone off to achieve over 4 million copies sold worldwide. Tekken 7 achieving 4 million units currently places the entire Tekken series at 48 million sold in total with I believe Tekken 7 almost at Tekken 6's sales and nearing Tekken Tag 1, Tekken 5 & Tekken 3's numbers. To commemorate the occasion, the 3 million milestone artwork updated with the Season 2 characters barring all the 2D and guest characters (as it should be). As for what's next for the Tekken series, we might know soon enough with Evo 2019 set to take place early next month.

New Downloadable Content listings discovered for Tekken 7

More DLC for Tekken 7 might be on its way, going by a recent listings update for Tekken 7 on Steamdb. If you head on over to the DLC section for Tekken 7, you'll find that 3 new packages were added to the table of DLC the game currently has. These packages are different from the usual game additions updates since these require account activation by either buying them or redeeming them like you would with the previous cosmetic DLCs. This more likely than not leans into either seperate or unique DLCs for the game rather than a new Season Pass if we go by the last two Season Passes since they both added a larger number of DLC packages. With a new console generation set to arrive next year, Tekken 7 for the time being looks to still be seeing continued support.

What's next Harada: evolving the fighting game genre and Esports

It's that time of the year again where E3 takes place, and although there isn't anything new to present for the Tekken or SoulCalibur side of things, figureheads from Bandai Namco were in attendance once again to do an E3 coliseum panel with Geoff Keighley. The panel for this year is focused on the strengths of Fighting games in the Esports business, but similar to the interview from last year, Geoff is slightly awkward since he doesn't have a FG background and throws out his ideas on where they could go or evolve into that might not really resonate with those inside the community. Video archive of the 'Strength of Fighting Games in Esports' session is now available for people to catch up over on YouTube. Free DLC update incoming to celebrate Tekken 7's 2-year anniversary on PC and console

Reports are already coming in that a new update for Tekken 7 on PS4s is now available so get to it if you want to download some new customization items. Update Version 2.30 is here to celebrate the 2-year anniversary of Tekken 7 on 'home' platforms. The update as far as I know isn't available everywhere yet but the new customization goodies which include new character panel artwork and a new 'Prisoner' outfit for Negan should soon be in everyone's hands. This update does include character balance changes so perhaps expect them to be the same changes made in the recent Version E in Arcades. More details and images for Tekken 7's 2-year anniversary update will be added as they come in.

Arcade Tekken 7 Fated Retribution Round 2 Ver. E Balance Changes
