Harada on The Current Status of Crossplay for Tekken 7

"Don't ask me. ASK 1st party." Says Harada. He continued on in a string of tweets today addressing the main issue that is getting in the way of enabling console crossplay for Tekken 7 which are the 1st party policies in place that the developers have to adhere to when they develop games for their systems. Enabling crossplay between certain systems like PC <-> PS4 or PC <-> XB1 was also shot down because that would be splitting the player base on the PC which they can't do. He didn't say it but hypothetically speaking, the thought of PC players only being able to play with either PS4 or XB1 players does sort of bring the console that is not crossplay enabled down. Potential Leak: Tekken 7 Deluxe Edition Details & Pre-Order Character Eliza

With details on Tekken 7 to come really really soon, a new online game listing for Tekken 7 has come forward early with some rather specific details on a Deluxe Edition for Tekken 7. Going by what is there, the site states that the Deluxe Edition comes with 2 additional characters (DLC?), a new game mode, hundreds of additional character costumes and also 30 metallic costumes. For Pre-ordering the game, it is said that the vampire character Eliza from Tekken Revolution will be there for players to get their hands on before anyone else. These are oddly specific details to mention for Tekken 7 so it's very possible that these were game content details for stores to advertise for the game making the GamesPlanet link a leak. Console / PC Versions of Tekken 7 is Getting An Online Tournament Mode

[Update] Hi-res images of the Online Tournament mode have now been added.

Also unveiled during the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2016 Tekken stream is news that the Console / PC version of Tekken 7 will have an online tournament mode. This mode will allow players to set up and play each other online (Max of 8 players total per tournament) with a format used in actual offline tournaments. It supports single & double elimination brackets and includes player spectating and voice chat. In game prizes can also be allocated to the winners of the tournament with stuff like gold and items. Report - TEKKEN 7 Releasing in the last week of February 2017

Insider sources at Bandai Namco Entertainment has tipped us off that the console/PC versions of Tekken 7 will be releasing on the last week of February next year. Tekken 7 was officially announced to be coming out during Early 2017 back at E3 2016 but this new time frame further narrows down the release window for the long awaited upcoming fighting game. Since a release date for Tekken 7 hasn't been announced officially yet, we'll stash this bit of info down as a rumor. Early 2017 is looking to be a busy time in gaming with Resident Evil 7, For Honor, Mass Effect Andromeda, Halo Wars 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Yakuza 0, Persona 5 and of course Tekken 7 all set to release around the same period. When a release date for Tekken 7 gets officially announced, we'll keep you posted.
