Bandai Namco: 'more awesome content is on the way for Tekken 7'

Relaying the official word from Bandai Namco Entertainment, more 'awesome content' is on the way for Tekken 7 (and SoulCalibur VI). Tekken 7 has recently wrapped up its third Season Pass of DLC content with the launch of Fahkumram and Cave of Enlightenment, leaving Tekken fans to speculate as to what was next for the series. Would we be moving on to Tekken 8 or Tekken X Street Fighter? Or carry on with Tekken 7 with the fourth Season and Season Pass. Going by the company's word in their latest PR, it looks like Tekken 7 is here to stay and will continue to see developer support even 5 years after the game's initial arcade debut. I'll leave BN's latest Press Release and Recap video but it's worth mentioning that there is still a stray DLC entry for the game over on Steamdb.

Knee's Recap of the Tekken 7 Tournament at Combo Breaker 2018

Photo by @HelloItsLiFresh off his recent Combo Breaker victory, Knee heads back home and recaps his experiences competing in the Tekken 7 tournament at the event. He went live on his Afreeca page to describe the experience with his chatroom and while it's all in Korean, we have the Rox Gaming social media manager Jin to thank for highlighting and translating the recap into English. This gives us foreigners a better POV from Knee of what he was thinking as he was playing and watching the tournament matches. You can find the translation recap at the publicly available Google document with the stream archive over on Knee's Afreeca channel:

Ring Out San Francisco Event Recap with Xephukai, Hates & Ceirnian

An exhibition for Soul Calibur 6 took place last week and the players that managed to make it there were able to get together and tell their thoughts on the experience at the event and on Soul Calibur 6 itself. This recap session with Xephukai, Hates & Ceirnian were streamed live on Twitch but the mic volume levels were off in some places and there wasn't a structure to the recap so skip forward a bit from the intro to the more interesting topics. There's some insightful discussion ion here on how Soul Calibur 6 is shaping up and their current thoughts in the game so feel free to listen if you're interested from hearing from notable SC players. You can catch the YouTube archive of the recap over on Xephukai's YouTube page.

SoCal Regionals 2017 - Tekken 7 YouTube Archives & Recap

Southern California Regionals 2017 was the latest MASTER event on the Tekken World Tour that recently concluded this past weekend. Being a Master level event, this tournament rewarded players with a chunk of points contributing to the TWT leaderboards making for a stacked Tekken 7 tournament as a result. Among the people entered were international players; JDCR and Saint from EchoFox alongside Jeondding who managed to secure support from r/Kappa to make it out to the event. Then of course you have players from the country like Mr Naps, Speedkicks, Joey Fury, Spero Gin, Geesemaster, Kodee, Pokchop, Just Frame James and a whole lot more. The complete stream archive of the Tekken 7 tournament are now up on the Bandai Namco fight channel for those who missed it live. I've also embedded below a recap video from Aris as he goes over his personal experience at the event which is now available on the Avoiding The Puddle channel.

Jeondding's Recap of his Matches for Top 8 at Evo 2017

Top Korean Eddy player Jeondding competed at Evo this year and put up some incredibly close games with the now Evo champion JDCR. Now that Jeondding has settled back home, he recently got on his Twitch stream to do a quick recap of his experience and matches for Tekken 7's Top 8. Since he did this live in Korean and on his stream, we have to thank dommynick on Neogaf for taking the time to breakdown the main bits and translate them into English for us. There's some great insight in here that goes into what a foreign player has to prepare for when transitioning from the arcade Tekken experience to the console tournament setting so it makes for an interesting read if you're interested in what was going through Jeondding's mind while he was playing. You can read the translation/breakdown of Jeondding's stream over on Neogaf's Tekken 7 thread.
