Season 3 of Tekken 7 announced with new characters and free updates

Revealed live on stage during Evo 2019, the third season for Tekken 7 is on its way! Season 3 brings in another wave of free balance updates to the game with the Season Pass including four new characters, one new feature and a new stage added to the game. Returning character Zafina is back as she kicks off the new season alongside the brand new fighter Leroy Smith. Zafina will be available in September with Leroy Smith coming in Winter. The Season 3 reveal trailer is now live over on the Bandai Namco America YouTube channel.

What's next Harada: evolving the fighting game genre and Esports

It's that time of the year again where E3 takes place, and although there isn't anything new to present for the Tekken or SoulCalibur side of things, figureheads from Bandai Namco were in attendance once again to do an E3 coliseum panel with Geoff Keighley. The panel for this year is focused on the strengths of Fighting games in the Esports business, but similar to the interview from last year, Geoff is slightly awkward since he doesn't have a FG background and throws out his ideas on where they could go or evolve into that might not really resonate with those inside the community. Video archive of the 'Strength of Fighting Games in Esports' session is now available for people to catch up over on YouTube. Free DLC update incoming to celebrate Tekken 7's 2-year anniversary on PC and console

Reports are already coming in that a new update for Tekken 7 on PS4s is now available so get to it if you want to download some new customization items. Update Version 2.30 is here to celebrate the 2-year anniversary of Tekken 7 on 'home' platforms. The update as far as I know isn't available everywhere yet but the new customization goodies which include new character panel artwork and a new 'Prisoner' outfit for Negan should soon be in everyone's hands. This update does include character balance changes so perhaps expect them to be the same changes made in the recent Version E in Arcades. More details and images for Tekken 7's 2-year anniversary update will be added as they come in.

Arcade Tekken 7 Fated Retribution Round 2 Ver. E Balance Changes

Tekken 7 Mod adds Darth Vader to the roster

Join the dark side with this new fan-made Tekken 7 mod on the PC that crosses Tekken with Star Wars. Available for download right now, the Darth Vader mod replaces Negan in the select screen and comes with the extras to make him feel like a real character in the game. The author of the mod; Bluewhite92, says that there's still some various things to touch and update but for the time being, the mod fully works and is playable.
