AfreecaTV & NiceGameTV Announces the AfreecaTV TEKKEN League 2017

Korean broadcasting companies AfreecaTV & NiceGameTV have announced a new collaborative Korean esports league dubbed the "AfreecaTV Tekken League 2017" (ATL for short). ATL 2017 pits together high level Tekken players that have performed really strongly in both international and domestic tournaments for a League with a total prize pool of around $5000 USD. ATL will be a big showcase for perhaps the best level of Tekken in the world and it will be streamed live every Friday and Saturday starting from May 19th up until the Grand Finals which is taking place on the 16th of June. AfreecaTV and NiceGameTV have come together to host the AfreecaTV TEKKEN League 2017 ‘ATL’!

The AfreecaTV TEKKEN League 2017 invites 16 of Korea’s best Tekken 7 players including top tournament placers in both domestic and international tournaments from 2016-2017 such as TEKKEN STRIKE. Knee, Chanel, Kkokkoma, Qudans, and many others will be joining the tournament!

ATL will begin on Friday, May 19th (PDT) starting with four groups in the Round of 16, the Round of 8 on 6/2 (PDT), and the top 4 Finals played out on 6/16 (PDT) for a total prize pool of 6,000,000 KRW (~$5300 USD)

As the console release of Tekken 7 is approaches, ATL is expected to bring a lot of hype with high level gameplay. Fans of Tekken will be able to watch the tournament in person at the NiceGameTV Sindorim studio in Seoul, South Korea. AfreecaTV will be live streaming the even on their site as well as bringing the tournament to the global audience live via the AfreecaTV Global platform.
