High Stakes TEKKEN Weekend SUMMER 2014 ATLANTA

ATL Gamer Society originally announced this tournament with a $2,500 guaranteed pot payout at EVO weekend on account of the news of Tekken not being included into this year's EVO tournament. Since then, EVO has later added TTT2 back into EVO leaving the dates of these two tournaments clashing for players interested in traveling to either of these tournaments. The ATL Gamer Society website now offers new details on the tournament saying that the tournament has been pushed back to the weekend after (July 18-19, 2014) to ease concerns of date clashing. Among that, $2,500 pot payout is still guaranteed and players like Lil Majin, Anakin, Kor, Inkognito and more are confirmed to be participating in the tournament. ATL GAMER SOCIETY PRESENTS AN ENTERTAINMENT PACKED WEEKEND OF EXCLUSIVE TEKKEN TAG EXHIBITION GAMES (TTT2 / PS3) - ATLANTA, GEORGIA - SUMMER 2014

HIGH STAKES PRE-TOURNAMENT - Friday July 18, 2014 8:30 PM. $100 Entry. 100% Payout. Winner take ALL. Double Elim. 3/5 all games. Completely random seeding and Bye assignment by live drawing. $10 spectator fee includes a chance to join the action!

All High Stakes Players will receive FREE ENTRY to the following evening's PAIRS TOURNAMENT. Their partners will be randomly selected from spectators via live drawing, who will also receive free entry.

MAIN EVENT TOURNAMENT - Saturday July 19, 2014 2:00 PM. $20 door fee on Saturday + $40 pot fee to compete. Double Elim seeded by skill and separated by region/scene. 3/5 all games.

PAIRS EXHIBITION - A SINGLE ELIM Pairs Tournament begin after the Main Event Top 8 is reached. The winning team will be awarded 1st - $240 and 2nd - $120 (a $360 total POT BONUS). A High Stakes player will be randomly paired with a non ranked player per team 24 hours in advance. Number of teams will be capped at 16, target tournament time 1 hour. $20 Entry per additional person / $40 per team if seats are available, first come first served. 3/5 all games.

THE MAIN EVENT: TOP 8 - Will resume after the Pairs Tournament.

Guaranteed MINIMUM payout for the Main Event:
1st place - $1250
2nd - $750
3rd - $300
4th - $200

The prize pool will be increased by $40 per player over 64 players, with the additional amount distributed 1st - 60%, 2nd - 30%, 3rd - 10%. 100% of tournament entry fees will be awarded, or $2,500, which ever is greater. Prizes will be awarded in cash immediately after the tournament.

Tournament Rules:
1. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for PlayStation 3 only at the venue all weekend. Free casuals and money matches all day/night. Setups may be provided for non-Tekken money matches if stakes are at least $20.
2. Bring your own controller. PS3 desync station available for wireless controllers.
3. Spectator fees and door fees strictly enforced.
4. At any time before the Pairs Tournament, the High Stakes player may transfer their Pairs Tournament seat to another player of their choice, for example if they prefer to focus on the Main Event tournament. 2 champions or known top players are not allowed on the same team. At his own discretion, the TO may refuse a last minute change or swap players between teams on Friday night to resolve any unfair advantages.
5. In the Main Event tournament, bracket seed and Bye assignments will be determined by global ranking/skill. In the High Stakes tournament, players will not be seeded by skill; only separated by scene/region upon request. Unranked players will be seeded randomly.
6. Best effort will be made to separate players from the same scene/region in early rounds but ABSOLUTELY no swapping bracket seats once the tournament is in progress.

- Saturday July 19, 2014 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
