SoulCalibur 6 Version 1.30 Adds Amy Compatibility & Gameplay Improvements

UPDATE: The official English patch notes have now been added.

Reports are coming in, Soul Calibur 6 in some parts of the world is updating to a new 1.30 version bringing a bunch of gameplay improvements. This version also adds DLC compatibility for the next DLC character Amy. There are no official patch notes available at the moment but here are the latest findings from the new patch.

Soul Calibur 6 - Amy Returns to the Stage of History on March 26

News of Amy's release date is already out, ahead of the currently scheduled Amy live stream on March 11. The Xbox channel uploaded their latest in the 'This Week on Xbox' series of videos, and it is inside one of the headlines in the upper section where we learn that Amy is set to launch on March 26 (Tuesday). Considering that this is an official video, it looks like they might have accidentally tucked in this announcement a bit prematurely. Good news for Amy fans though, she'll be in your hands sooner than you would expect towards the end of this month. Soul Calibur 6 - Developer Q&A & Amy News Live Stream on March 11

We're getting more news on Soul Calibur 6's next DLC character—Amy—this next monday as revealed on the Japanese gaming publication Dengeki Online. Details are up for a live stream session featuring the Soul Calibur 6 dev team, and they'll be taking the time to sit down and answer questions from the fans and keep everyone up to date on current developments. We might even find out about a release date for Amy soon but no guarantees, you'll have to tune into the stream to find out. The YouTube stream will go live on March 11, at 7 PM Japan time.

Soul Calibur 6 - Amy Battle Director Comment

Amy is our latest character addition to the Soul Calibur 6 roster and as per usual, we now have some brief comments on how she fights from the game's Battle Director Oosaka (@oosaka_twt). Described as an extremely fast and up-close fighter, Amy has new moves where she tosses a rose at the opponent and ramp up some of her attacks to unleash a strong finisher. We'll have to wait and see how that translate to the gameplay when Amy eventually comes out but check out the comments in the meanwhile.
