Soul Calibur 6 Version 1.20 Update Adjusts Online Ranked and Adds Free Schoolwear Items
DLC Pack #3 for Soul Calibur 6 is a day away but a free update to the game adding compatibility for the pack as well as game mode adjustments is already here. Included inside the update are some free School uniform items for you to use in the Character Creation mode, a bunch of changes to the way you climb ranks and find other players in online Ranked Mode, several QOL fixes and a whole bunch more. If you have the Season Pass for the game, the DLC Pack will go live once the unlock listing for is available on February 19. The full update contents can be found over on the SC6 website.

Free Character Creation Item Additions — PS4 | Xbox One | Steam
- Several pieces of Schoolwear themed items are now added. (Blue = Male -- Red = Female)
Gameplay Adjustments — PS4 | Xbox One | Steam
- Added the ability to select a different weapon to use for a character on the character select screen. Highlight a character during the select screen and push the Square button to access the weapon screen. (There are no gameplay differences between the weapon choices.)
- During the loading screen before a match, the stage name is now displayed in the upper centre area of the screen. If Random was selected for the stage, you will see "Random" instead of the stage name.
- When selecting a Character Creation from the character select screen, the game will now memorize and use the cursor location from the previous session.
- While using the online "Standby" feature in the training mode, the game will now keep all your record settings when you return to the training mode after the online match.
- In Training mode, you can now use the R3 button to start recording and L3 to play it back.
- Modified some in-game text.
- Improved overall game stability.
- Numerous Character Creation Item display issues were fixed.
Libra of Souls — PS4 | Xbox One | Steam
- Money exchange rate for Gold to SP has now been increased. From 5000 G to 100 SP, it is now 1000 G to 100 SP.
- The amount of money consumed while navigating the map has decreased from 30 G for 100km to 20 G for 100km.
- Amount of money earned for completing the following missions have been increased:
- - Main Story 'Berserk' battle mission.
- - Astral Hole blockade Request missions.
- - Searching for Brilliant Gems missions. (Random Encounters possible while searching.)
- - 'Duel Hour' missions. (Places you randomly on the world map)
- Strength of several Boss NPCs in the higher level missions have been made a little easier.
- The hairstyle changing bug when creating a 'Winged Body' hero immediately after the start of the mode and using Soul Charge is now fixed.
PlayStation 4 Changes — PS4
When configuring your button inputs in the options menu, the button confirmation screen can now be closed with the Options button instead of the Touchpad button. (This is to assist certain arcade sticks that do not have the Touchpad button.)
NETWORK Adjustments — PS4 | Xbox One | Steam
- Online Matchmaking will now prioritize finding opponents near your rank. If a match cannot be found in a reasonable amount of the time, the search will automatically enlarge the scope of the search criteria to help you find a match. (This change is made to the PS4 and Steam version of the game only. The Xbox One will operate as usual.)
- At the G1 Rank point and under, the amount of RP earned after a match is increased if there is a difference in Rank between the players.
- From the C5 ~ B1 ranks, the behaviour in which you could get a lot more RP than intended from beating a lower ranked opponent has been adjusted.
- The win streak bonus in Ranked will now extend from G1 to E1. A player on a win streak will be able to climb the ranks faster by beating opponents near their rank consecutively.
- In the search settings for Rank and Casual matches, the 'Everywhere' setting in the Region search is now changed to '気にしないプレイヤー同士' ('I don't mind, whatever etc.')
- Online Bans for players violating the Terms of Service. The development team will continue to investigate and ban offending players once they're found.

NETWORK Adjustments — PS4 | Xbox One | Steam
The following changes to Rank Mode are being planned to improve the overall experience with regards to matchmaking and the connection quality.
- "Language" and "Area" settings are being deleted.
- The default setting for the search criteria is now set to "+4 Bars and higher."
- Ability to continually rematch the opponent after a battle is over. (The B03 limitation is now removed, you can rematch endlessly)
- Fixes for the Casual Match issue where specific players could not be matched up with another player at the top of the lobby.
- In the Replay section, a function to delete old and outdated replays from the previous versions of the game is planned on being added.
