Soul Calibur 6 - Exploration of Geralt's Movelist by Kayane

As some may already be aware, the French Soul Calibur player Kayane was invited to Bandai Namco a bit back to try out the latest public build of Soul Calibur 6. Since then, she has been uploading plenty of new gameplay footage from the E3 build of the game with some notable players from the scene. Her latest Soul Calibur 6 video is on the guest character; Geralt of Rivia and in it, she focuses on exploring the character's movelist to see how Geralt fights and what he's capable of. Kayane went ahead and jotted down some quick notes on her findings in the description which may be good to know if you ever plan on playing the character at an upcoming event sometime in the future. Since the footage is from a demo and we are now 3 months away from the game's launch, some things may be subject to change so do take note. You can check out the movelist exploration video over on Kayane's YouTube page:

From the description:

Hello guys !

I could record the moves that I've found from Geralt at Bandai Namco Office. I'm sorry for the many repetitions on certain moves, we're trying stuff, seeing how it can be punished or the meter gain and stuff like this. Not easy without practice mode !

Here are some things I noted for those interested, and for those who want to play Geralt, this will be useful to get a hand on him when you have a chance to play the demo in the upcoming fighting games events like EVO or public events like Gamescom !

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Geralt is a character really easy to learn and play, very efficient. Nice range, very good whiff punisher.

He has his 3 signs from Witcher : Igni, Aard and Yrden.

- Igni is Fire
- Aard is to repel
- Yrden is a trap (the purple magic) that auto GI for a free combo

Igni uses the meter for more damages and better properties. For example, if I do the combo 3B, 6B B with 1/4 meter, I can follow up with 1A A (Aard). I did that a lot in my previous videos playing Geralt.

Unfortunately, it seems you can't chose if you want to use the meter or not with that move. So that's why you won't see me often use Soul Charge because I used Igni so much lol

He has 3 lows (1B, 1A A leading to his sign Aard, and 1K)
Basic combo :  3B 6B B (Igni), 1A A (Aard)

His 2A has a HUGE pushback

The A+B moves are to use his signs

He has a special throw with A+G, A+B+K (use meter) or 4A+G A+B+K, and I think it's very strong because it's a lot of damages, and he also gain meter while doing it !

His basic throw can ring out.

He doesn't have A+K moves (yet?)

Overall I think he doesn't have many moves, but I feel there are too many empty commands for him, so I'm pretty sure they are gonna add more moves and stance possibilities.

It's still a demo, so it's just to see how the opponent is looking overall :)

Oh and Kaer Morhen stage is absolutely beautiful with the best epic music from Witcher 3!
