Holy shit at the damage.

2:30 and onwards. 50% combo's and the game isn't even out yet!!! Damage scaling needs to be toned the FUCK down.

But everything else is supreme. Liking what I see. Glad they got rid of the Ki charge.

Inetersting I wonder if askua got some buffs to her moves list. Jun looks like she may have a hard time carrying to the wall but then again this isn't the finished character. I like what I see though not a big fan of the move animations but I'm just happy to see her back.

@AAK :

that combo wasn't 50%, closer to 40%. if you've never played tekken6, the combo damage for a launcher to a wall combo was much more than 40%, not to mention in ttt2, you have two characters' life bars.

so tell me ... what fighting games have you played recently that don't have 50% combos? ... mk9? nope. sf4? nope. marvel? hahahahahha ...

Jun looks very interesting and will probably play similarly to Asuka, but definite differences. Only things I just can not find enjoyment from watching is in the near instant tag-ins and juggles that may seem to require assistance to do good damage. Oh well, I guess the Tag charm has to grow on you (I started with Tekken 4 / 5). Though, the polygon clipping alone makes my eyes hurt (characters going through each like ghosts).

I think it's obvious Jun differs from Asuka, so the assumption that the presence of one should justify the absence of the other should not be an issue.. As long as the difference between Jun and Asuka are like that of the differences between King and A. King or Baek and Hworang then both characters are relevant.

@Kane

SF4's and MK9's (so far) 50% combo's are impossible considering how much super & ultra meter is needed and are completely situational.

And lastly, if you think the damage scaling is fine, consider how many moves it took to destroy Jin's health:

death fist, f+1+2, hop kick, 1,2, b+1,2~5, B!, AK 1+2,4, death fist. This wouldn't be so bad but this was done without netsu, rage. Now consider what if:

Paul could have done hop kick, jab, qcf+1, jab, b+1,2~5 B! AK d/f+2,1,3, death fist for even more ridiculousness. And this was with a character with mediocre combo capability like AK. Let's not forget that tag assault could possibly also allow Paul to charge b,b+1+2 while AK does d/f+2,1,3 similar to the MLG Asuka/Jin combo where Jin charged his u/b+1+2 while Asuka did d/b+4,4,3.

That stuff doesn't seem too fun especially while being in the receiving end. And don't forget Tag Assault also gives you access to some ridiculous tech traps as seen in theatre10's AOU footage. You may have 2 life bars, but the length & damage of the these combo's w/ tag assault + bound really makes it seem unlikely you'll ever be likely to use that second life bar.

But I know there will be more location tests and there is still time for Harada and co. to modify things, so I'm not giving up hope.

Nice to get some new visuals.

lol AAK, you speak like you made the game, when in actual fact, you haven't even played it.

To be honest, i think the damage seen in videos is fine so far. You've got double the amount of HP with the same (if not lower) damage output compared to T6. This is where strategy comes into TTT2, it's not a one character game anymore.

In this game, if you get launched, you lose (for example) 50% health of one character, that's only 1/4 of your total HP, some of it is recoverable too.

I just don't want another T5.0 that's all.

She looks like Lili, and that isn't a good thing... Asuka's style looks a lot more like real fighting, while Lili's (and this Jun) just looks like dancing, with limbs flying all over the place. Nobody would fight like that, not even in a movie... The reason most people like Tekken before games like SF and MvC is because it actually looks somewhat real (and most of the time fucking cool), or at least not nearly as gay/silly as those other games.

I love that they're showing us all this footage early on, but there's a lot of stuff that looks stupid here. The combo system is a whole other discussion. I wish they toned it down instead of up.

So, it looks like they're going away from the core of what Tekken really is, and going towards the more fan-friendly stuff that we see taken to a whole new level in MvC3 now. Basically that is: more + longer combos and shit that looks silly and gay.

It looks like she has some sort of stance or move that can transition into other moves, it’s at 0:34. I guess it could also be like when you cancel Asuka's f+2.

Also at 1:41 the tag-in at the wall avoids Paul’s low and they even punish it with Jun's f+2! Tagging at the wall is ridiculously fast.
