Knee Steve is so weak
GODU Tekken is so weak. GOSU ftw
great job aris
Awwwhhh Aris. Please feel free to take a dump, man, LOL.
What exactly is delay catch? Also I think the move you were talking about with Ganryu might have been f,f+3+4, which does a crazy 60 points of damage and he ends up grounded. Nin was using uf+1+2 because it has crush properties, probably. Always good to have something to use to crush, even if your character does not have a hop kick for half life. I think DOA can be a fun diversion from Tekken for an hour or two, kinda like Virtua Fighter. Both those games are obviously not nearly as good as Tekken, but they can still be fun sometimes. But I agree Aris that DOA's counter/parry system is dumb.
Sun Chip needs to hop kick more with Armor King VS Nin. He had so many windows of opportunity where he could have hop kicked for a full combo and maybe a wall combo and he did nothing or something else. Throw breaking too needs work.
Yo ldMaxi, I like Lili. Any good Lili players you could please put on the next show? Thanks. Ccer on team Infinity comes to mind, although I am sure there are at least maybe 4 GREAT Lilis at Green Arcade.
Still yet to watch the Binchang matches. Binchang is so fun to watch.
Ccer prefers not to have his matches recorded and I don't often see top Lili's playing :F
Delaycatch just means catching someone while in delay. Or translated to our terminology, hitting someone in reckovery. So a delaycatch can be a whiffpunish or blockpunish. If a person is good at delaycatching it can mean anything from whiffpunishing, blockpunishing or interupting strings correctly. Koreans make no real difference between these concepts and sums it all up in the word "delaycatch". Hope that clears it up.
Hey maxi any chance you can catch a couple of good yoshi players at Green Arcade I remember some at the qualifiers for Tekken Crash but I haven't seen any on your show if possible could you record some please and thank you
Good stuff as usual. Yoshi matches would be golden, Iv'e yet to see a korean Yoshi player (excluding HelpMe's Yoshi) Appreciate it.
Ok I'll see if it's possible, but the same problem there, you don't often see him played.
Re: vid 1 @ Rip: Nice burn at 26:00 haha
Hmm, interesting stuff you guys said about the art direction of Tekken and MK. To be honest, I think Mortal Kombat doesn't appear like a mature game to me. The ultra-violence, cheesy plotlines and gigantic tits; all that in its excessiveness actually has a reverse effect and it ends up looking like the game is intended for horny male teenagers - I wouldn't be surprised if they actually are the main demographic of MK players (ratings don't mean shit btw). IMO the most mature fighting game is probably VF, because that series doesn't have any (intentionally) stupid stuff in it and has a deep intricate gameplay made by serious-minded developers.
Oh and if you plan to discuss global issues in the future, you might want save the embarrasment and do some background research... :) Otherwise preferably stick to the ongoing matches.
VF doesn't have intentionally stupid stuff, other than the voice actors and most of the sound effects still coming from VF1.
MK's X-ray moves technically don't stop time, for instance Sub-Zero's ice clone breaks during it.
LOL it IS called Tekken Force...
